Off the Beaten Path - Egypt's Creation Stories

The Nile River is the life-blood of Egypt…past and present. In this special off-the-beaten path tour, you’ll travel through Egypt flowing with the Nile from the edges of Nubia in the south through the rarely visited Middle Egypt…..all by boat. Not only will you see Egypt from the banks of the river, you’ll disembark to explore important temple sites in Nubia, places you can’t miss in Luxor such as the Valley of the Kings and Sekhmet in her chapel in Karnak temple, see the land of the Aten where the religion of Egypt and the capital were changed during the reign of Akhenaten, visit the land sacred to Thoth in Hermopolis and the catacombs filled with offerings of mummified ibis and baboon. Cairo will be our hub at the beginning and the end of the tour so you can commune with the Sphinx at sunrise and contemplate the end of the day with pharaohs of the past on the Giza plateau at the Great Pyramid.
